Kitchen/Living area remodel
Transformation of a cramped layout into an expansive open-concept kitchen.
Project Spotlight: 1980s Transformation & Open-Concept Reinvention
This project was a masterclass in bringing a dated 1980s layout into the modern era. We envisioned a home where light and conversation could flow freely, so we began by deconstructing the original footprint. By removing two restrictive load-bearing walls and installing a precision-engineered structural beam, we bridged the gap between the kitchen and living areas, instantly doubling the felt sense of space.
With the structural "bones" modernized, we focused on a high-impact aesthetic refresh. To preserve the quality of the original woodwork while achieving a contemporary look, we professionally refinished the cabinetry with a sleek new color palette and updated the doors for a clean, streamlined profile. The transformation was completed with a suite of premium finishes, including:
Custom surfaces: New wood butcher-block countertops paired with a sleek tile backsplash.
Modern hardware: A deep-basin undermount sink and a high-arc designer faucet.
Seamless flooring: Durable, modern flooring that runs wall-to-wall, unifying the newly opened space.
The result is a kitchen that no longer feels like a relic of the past, but a vibrant, functional heart of the home that perfectly reflects our vision for modern living.
